Vintage Chair In Purple By Verner Panton For Bayer, 1960s
$1,184
Chairish
Verner Panton (1926–1998) was a Danish designer and one of the leading figures of Pop Art in furniture design. This pair of Panton Chairs in glossy purple comes from the rare first series, produced around 1968–1969. The chairs were manufactured in Baydur and then lacquered. This production method was only used for a very short period by Bayer in Leverkusen, making these early models highly collectible. Both chairs are in good to very good condition, with light surface scratches, consistent with age and use. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs, designer records, or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
