According to what I was told, this chair was sent to the US from France with an estate and reupholstered in New York in the nineties. It is in great condition with its salmon colored damask upholstery and intact caning. There is a removable upper back piece that is tied to the caning with matching ribbon-a sweet accent to this lovely chair. The chair is hand-pegged, and very solid. In the seventh picture you can see a small area where a little of the finish has rubbed off. There is also very slight sun fading to the upholstery on one side of the chair. Neither detracts from its loveliness. The quality of this chair and the upholstery are excellent.
