Wicker E 10 Chair By Egon Eiermann, 1960s

Chairish

$1,076

The "E 10" wicker chair, designed by architect and product designer Egon Eiermann starting in 1948 and produced from 1951/52 onwards by the Heinrich Murmann manufactory in limited quantities of 200-400 pieces annually, received considerable publicity at the 1958 Brussels World's Fair. from 1970 onwards, the larger wickerwork manufacturer "Konrad Fischer" was able to meet the increased demand. However, mass production was only achieved by the Lambert company from 1997 onwards. The present example comes from the personal collection of a former Eiermann employee. Alongside Riemerschmid and Erich Dieckmann (Franco Albin in Italy), Eiermann is considered one of the most important German furniture designers who gave a modern touch to traditional craftsmanship. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs, designer records, or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
