In designing the Curl chaise longue, Piero Lissoni took inspiration from Michelangelo’s remark that he only ‘chipped away at the stone that was in excess’.‎ As such, each piece has been revealed from block of natural stone using cutting-edge CAD/CAM technology to push the material to its limits – an engineering achievement as well as an elegant, simple interpretation of an established design.‎Stone:Bianco CarraraPietra d'Avola
