Early Lc4 Chaise Longue By Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, And Charlotte Perriand, France, 1930s

Chairish

$14,526

A rare early version of the iconic lc4 chaise longue, designed by le corbusier, pierre jeanneret, and charlotte perriand in 1928. This exceptional piece features a chrome-plated tubular steel frame, ergonomic contours, and the iconic pony skin (cowhide) upholstery. The standout feature of this piece is the black wooden base . This distinctive construction detail, combined with the craftsmanship and patina throughout, suggests this is a rare pre-war edition from the 1930s. It was in the family of the previous owner for over 75 years and has a beautiful patina. The seat can be adjusted by the metal rail moving over the base, as shown in photos. This adjusted the seating angle and height, for maximum versatility and seating comfort. A true design classic, this piece offers both sculptural beauty and exceptional comfort. A true statement piece in any decor with high historical value! the piece remains in very good vintage condition with notable wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. It is structurally fully sound. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs, designer records, or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
