Apart from his name and an article by Pierre Migennes entitled "Les meubles de Francois Turpin" in the May 1933 issue of the magazine "Art et Décoration" (pages 153 and 154), nothing further is known about the designer François Turpin. Two different versions, made of angle iron and fabric, as a chaise longue and a rocking chair, have appeared on the art market in fewer than ten examples. with these designs, however, he belonged to the avant-garde of his time in Paris, as a photograph of the rocking chair with René Herbst underscores. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs, designer records, or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
