A blooming sputnik from 1960s Italy, attributed to Paolo Venini for VeArt. Murano glass flowers extend from a central chrome structure, the tubular rods tipped with petals hand-pressed in fine striations that catch and scatter the light. Suspended from its matching chain and canopy, it glows warmly when lit—equally at home over a dining table or in an entry. Murano, the storied island in the Venetian lagoon, has been at the heart of glassmaking for over 700 years. Its artisans shaped molten glass through breath and flame, passing techniques from master to apprentice—each piece a quiet echo of that enduring craft. Condition: Great vintage condition with light, age-appropriate wear to the chrome, including minor surface marks and faint oxidation. A new canopy was sourced by our team of restorationists.
