Antique Bohemian Crystal Chandelier with 12 Arms. An elegant twelve-light Bohemian crystal chandelier dating back to around 1950. It features a central baluster stem made of molded glass vases, bordered at the top and bottom by two crystal bowls, internally gilded with mercury, decorated with spire-shaped pendants spaced in octagons. from the central bowl extend twelve solid crystal arms, with a simple volute and faceted surfaces. The plates have the same finish as the gilded bowls, and above these and halfway up each arm is a flat crystal pendant in the shape of a diamond. Between the arms are solid crystal "pastorals" with faceted surfaces, from which identical pendants hang. The chandelier was electrically reassembled with a 2 x 0.35 silver strip outside the arms and attached to them with nylon ties. The central upright was made with two 0.50 mm flat wires for a total power of 1000 watts divided into two lines.
