Antique French Gilded Chandelier with Crystals, ideal for an elegant dining room, made in France around 1870, in gilded bronze and crystal, in excellent condition. Designed for candlelight, this floral chandelier has a particularly harmonious shape, expressed through a multitude of elegant plant-like elements. The structure is composed of a central stem with six arms extending from its base. These arms split into twelve lights arranged on two levels, supported by foliage-like arms and terminating in flowers and buds that surround the candle. Each branch is grafted with shoots and leaves decorated with unique crystal pendants and crystal flowers alternating with brass ones. The richness of the lower section is expertly balanced by the middle section, whose curved, leafy arms alone create a light, airy effect thanks to the simplicity of the lines of the racemes. The dense floral decoration and tendrils wrap around the stem to the top, culminating in a halo of crystal flowers. The entire chandelier features a splendid original mercury gilding. Originally from a Milanese palazzo, it has been restored and is now in excellent condition, ready to hang! The electrical system has been completely redone with identical features. The twelve lights have E14 sockets with a maximum total power of 750 watts. It weighs 27 kg. The chandelier is of French origin and dates back to the third quarter of the 19th century.
