Brass and Crystal Chandelier, 19th Century. A delightful Italian chandelier in gilded brass and crystal from the mid-19th century, it features six lights, entirely handcrafted and originally designed for candlelight. The structure has a central shaft covered in crystal vases, from whose lower part extend six curved arms terminating in worked crystal bobeches. The arms are made of shaped brass, all numbered to match their interlocking parts. The arms are richly decorated with a multitude of rosettes, drops, and fan-shaped pendants in faceted crystal. This chandelier is currently not electrified, but is in excellent condition and dates back to the second half of the 19th century.
