I collect Bagues and have been for over 20 years and I have never seen a masterpiece like this. A 6 light " Louis XV" style iron cage form totally adorned from top to bottom with very, very large and impressive Rock Crystal, beaded with rock crystal all the way up and down the curved arms with a touch of amethyst on these beaded arms, all terminating with the largest polished Amethyst Rock Crystal Ball that I have ever seen. There are rock crystal pillars with rock crystal carved flowers in a vase like structure. In the center of the chandelier is a huge rock crystal "Vase" sprouting from the vase is the original flowers, rock and amethyst again. Hard to describe this picture. Everything here, from ceiling cap [original] to amethyst ball all original. This same chandelier was sold out of Yves st Laurents Estate at Auction.
