A sculptural and well-balanced multi-arm Sputnik chandelier executed in chrome-plated metal with richly textured, faceted glass shades. The geometric glass elements create a striking interplay of light and reflection, characteristic of high-quality European lighting design from the 1970s. The design closely relates to the work of Richard Essig, known for his architectural multi-arm chandeliers with patterned glass diffusers. Comparable examples have appeared on the high-end design market. Produced in Germany (or Europe), this chandelier represents the Space Age aesthetic with a strong emphasis on symmetry, material contrast, and luminous presence.
