Cast recycled glass discs shine like cosmic bodies set around the outer frame of the Circumstellar Chandelier from Currey & Company. Designer Tom Caldwell suspends pebbled glass discs from a wrought iron ring suspended by curving arms while chain links connect the open iron structure to a circular canopy overhead. Shadows dance across meticulously placed glass, reflecting industrial style softened by transitional materials, sculpting a galaxy of celestial and contemporary glow intertwined through shaped light and sculptural structure. Its open lamping is best used with reflector bulbs that restrain direct brightness, creating a clever ambiance.
