A spectacular and massive 18th century Genovese-style Italian chandelier decorated with transparent and jewel-tone crystals. Behind this seemingly buoyant veil of glittering crystals, the tall column of finely carved giltwood in Neoclassical motifs branches into a profusion of metal hooks at the top which cascade down as clear strings of beads punctuated by intense blue and orange crystals. Eight arms for the lights rise from a sparkling web of crystal strings distinguished by an emerald green jewel. Swags of clear and elongated points hang from the patinated metal arms of the lights which use candelabra-base bulbs to create a warm and inviting ambience, terminating at the bottom in a cut crystal sphere.
