Louis Xv Style Porcelain Flower Basket Chandelier, 1960s

Chairish

$1,382

A veritable hanging garden, this six-arm "basket" chandelier is a celebration of lightness and springtime refinement. Directly inspired by the Louis XV Rococo style, this piece was crafted in Italy in the mid-20th century, a country renowned for its mastery of decorative ironwork and fine ceramics. The gilded metal structure, worked with great fluidity, simulates plant stems reaching towards the sky. It is entirely filled with a profusion of Capodimonte porcelain flowers, modeled and hand-painted in pastel shades of powder pink, lilac, and soft yellow. Each corolla seems to bloom amidst delicately chiseled gilded foliage, creating a play of textures between the gleam of the metal and the silky matte finish of the porcelain. The balanced silhouette and delicate floral decoration make this a piece of rare elegance, capable of bringing soft light and a bucolic touch to a charming interior or a contemporary boudoir. It is in excellent condition. The porcelain flowers have been carefully preserved, retaining the brilliance of their original colors. The chandelier has been serviced for immediate use, combining antique charm with modern comfort. European Plug (up to 250V).The wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
