An Italian crystal and gilt-wood column chandelier from the mid 20th century. This mid-century hanging light from Italy features a gilt-wood central column, adorned with leaved-wraps carved about it's lower gallery and floral wraps about the top and bottom. From the lower portion of the column, ten golden-tone metal arms project outwardly in a circular pattern with s-shaped arms that support the metal petal bobèches with painted candle sleeves at their center. A crystal and Italian glass bead crown waterfall top, gives way to an elegant display of crystal and glass-beads that make their way downward as if they were raindrops falling onto the light arms, which are decorated with swags of ornately woven glass-bead trim and various crystals, and a round crystal ball dangling at the bottom. This Italian crystal and gilt-wood column chandelier is just shy of 4 feet in height (measured from it's crown top to finial bottom) and has been rewired for the US and comes with a complimentary three-foot chain and canopy painted to match. Rewired for the US.
