A dynamic and kinetic Mid century Modernist/ Space age chandelier in chrome and lucite by Gaetano Sciolari. The total height can be shortened to ~31" ht (without the chain links) and can be lengthened to suit any height with additional chain link extension. (38" with chain as shown in photos) Angelo Gaetano Sciolari (1927-1994)  designer for the Italian manufacturer Stilnovo in the 1950s. His designs were imported to the American market by Lightolier & Progress Lighting in the 60, 70's +80's. Of Brutalist, geometric stylization with twelve vertical tubular rods featuring cylindrical acrylic finials, nine of which hold the sockets, co-joined by 18 horizontal rectilinear stretchers. In Sciolari's pursuit of architecture, which he had a degree in, he captures cubist elements in his designs. This fixture exhibits an architectural star formation when viewed from the underside and imbues a timeless sophisticated, sculptural and even Futuristic interpretation. Original chain and canopy with original Sciolari paper label inside canopy.
