A dynamic and kinetic Mid century Modernist/ Space age chandelier in chrome and lucite by Gaetano Sciolari. The total height can be shortened to ~31" ht (without the chain links) and can be lengthened to suit any height with additional chain link extension. (38" with chain as shown in photos) Angelo Gaetano Sciolari (1927-1994)  designer for the Italian manufacturer Stilnovo in the 1950s. His designs were imported to the American market by Lightolier & Progress Lighting in the 60, 70's +80's. Of Brutalist, geometric stylization with twelve vertical tubular rods featuring cylindrical acrylic finials, nine of which hold the sockets, co-joined by 18 horizontal rectilinear stretchers. In Sciolari's pursuit of architecture, which he had a degree in, he captures cubist elements in his designs. This fixture exhibits an architectural star formation when viewed from the underside and imbues a timeless sophisticated, sculptural and even Futuristic interpretation. Original chain and canopy with original Sciolari paper label inside canopy. Makes an attractive addition to any style of interior from classic, traditional, Cubism, Deconstructivism, Minimalism, Italian design, Contemporary... stainless steel, shiny nickel, star of David, geometric series, cubic series, dining room, bedroom, entry, foyer, den, Bravura Cartesian, cubic. Holds 9 candelabra based LED or incandescent bulbs. Original wires with U.S adapters per American standards.
