A magnificent piece of New York City’s architectural history, this Dore bronze chandelier was an original fixture of the legendary Plaza Hotel and was acquired during its landmark 2005 renovation. The design is a great example of the Russian Empire style, featuring a robust bronze frame with an ornate figural frieze and classical bas-relief detailing. The fixture is dramatically tiered, showcasing twelve primary scrolled arms and four central interior lights for a total of sixteen points of illumination. It is heavily draped in high-clarity crystal baguettes and faceted prisms, topped with a spectacular "fountain" crown of beaded crystal sprays.
