A pair of vintage murano blown glass chandeliers, made in italy in the 1940s and attributed to barovier & toso, one of the most important historic glassworks on the island of murano. these chandeliers represent a significant example of italian lighting from the post-world war i period, characterized by harmonious lines and influences attributable to the art deco style, widespread in murano production in the first half of the 20th century. the pair consists of two matching but not identical chandeliers, one with six lights and one with five lights. both chandeliers have been completely restored and are in excellent condition. the glass shows only very slight signs of aging, consistent with the age and nature of the pieces. the chandeliers have six and five lights, respectively, with e27 sockets (european standard) and can also use e26 bulbs. dimensions: six-light chandelier width: 32.28 inches (82 cm) height: 29.92 inches (76 cm). five-light chandelier width: 31.50 inches (80 cm) height: 29.92 inches (76 cm).
