This striking five-arm chandelier was produced by asea in sweden in the early 1950s. An excellent example of swedish modern lighting design, it showcases a refined blend of materials — brass, oak, and silk — with careful attention to craftsmanship. the fixture has five gently curved brass arms, each ending in a fluted brass shade holder. A turned oak accent decorates the base of the stem, while an intricately crafted wire crown detail adds character to the central column. A dome-shaped brass canopy completes the design. Each arm is fitted with a clip-on shade in pure ivory silk fabric. the chandelier remains in very good original condition, with the brass displaying a natural, even patina. The silk shades have been renewed. Fitted with five standard e26/e27 bulb sockets. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution, up to 250v (europe/uk standard).the wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
