This six-arm British Colonial chandelier is distinguished not only by its exceptional tropical design — hand-painted pineapples, tole palm fronds, faux bamboo ironwork, and a beautifully detailed green-glazed canopy — but by an extraordinary provenance: every inch of its polychrome finish was repainted by Anne Yates Burst (1933–2023), the artist, author, and interior designer behind Indies Landing, the beloved Park Avenue boutique in Winter Park, Florida that she co-owned with her daughters for nearly two decades. The chandelier features a dramatic elliptical hoop of blackened faux bamboo ironwork crowned by a green-glazed sunflower canopy. Six sweeping arms, each tipped with a hand-painted pineapple bobèche, radiate from a central base ringed with tole tropical fronds. A large sculptural pineapple — richly painted in golden ochre, burnt sienna, and coral with a deep green crown — anchors the center. Warm terra cotta candle sleeves and curling iron scroll hardware complete the composition. At 24" tall and 28" wide, it is ideally scaled for a dining room, breakfast room, sunroom, or covered outdoor living space. The chain to canopy is 7". All original structure.
