Produced in the heart of Bohemia’s world-renowned glassmaking region, this sculptural vintage chandelier was manufactured by Lustry Kamenický Šenov, one of Czechoslovakia’s most respected state-run lighting factories during the mid-20th century. The company formed part of the nationalised glass industry, supplying architectural lighting to private residences, hotels, and civic buildings across Prague and the wider Eastern Bloc.This striking chandelier features six moulded crystal glass globes arranged radially around a central nickel-plated baluster. Each globe is formed with a bold star-cut geometric pattern characteristic of mid-century Bohemian design, creating a highly refractive surface that scatters light with clarity and presence. When illuminated, the chandelier produces a bright, faceted glow, balancing decorative impact with architectural restraint.Originally installed in a private Prague residence, the fixture has now been sensitively restored and rewired for modern use, while preserving its original materials and proportions. The result is a confident statement piece that works equally well in entrance halls, dining rooms, or generous circulation spaces, offering texture, rhythm, and a clear sense of Czech glassmaking heritage.
