Newly restored five arm chandelier by The Feldman Company, made in Los Angeles c. 1950s. The chandelier offers diffused uplighting from the five opal glass globes and downlighting via concealed bulbs at the bottom of each arm. A central switch allows for three lighting modes: uplight only, downlight only, or both uplight and downlight simultaneously. While this design is most commonly associated with Robert Long Lighting of Sausalito, CA, this particular example bears a Feldman tag, perhaps indicating a very early date of production. The body of the chandelier has been refinished in a satin gunmetal. The internals have been inspected and rewired as needed by an electrician. This collectible piece of California modernist design is ready for immediate use. Note: the height dimension below measures from the bottom of the chandelier to the top of the stem. It does not include the chain, which can be shortened as needed during installation.
