This 1960s American of Martinsville Accord china cabinet, designed by Merton Gershun, is a clean lined display and storage piece from one of the most refined American mid century modern collections. Built in walnut, it shows warm, even grain and a crisp rectilinear form. Slim aluminum tab pulls accent the lower doors and reinforce the architectural character of the line. The upper section is arranged for display, combining an open bookshelf bay on one side with a glass enclosed bay on the other, and a small felt lined drawer sits between them for flatware. The lower base provides enclosed storage behind a bank of three cabinet doors, with room for linens and serving pieces.
