A leather club armchair designed in 1981 by the Czech architect and designer Zbyněk Hřivnáč for the brutalist hotel Praha. The hotel Praha was built in the eighties as a place dedicated to prominent visitors of the communist party. The hotel Praha was destroyed in 2014. together with unique interiors full of Czechoslovak design gems. Zbyněk Hřivnáč is known for his cooperation on interiors of the hotel Internacional in Prague, the cafe Alfa in Prague or several Czech embassies all over the world. The armchair has a robust wooden construction, it is completely upholstered with dark genuine leather. The upholstering is torn on a few places that are visible in the photographs. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs, designer records, or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
