As outdoor living spaces grew in popularity in the 1960s, the demand for fashionable seating that could withstand the elements naturally increased. Designer Richard Schultz answered this waxing appreciation for exterior environments with the Swell Collection Club Chair by Knoll. Its design is reminiscent of Schultz' 1966 Collection, but opts for an armless structure and subtle differences throughout to create its own individual sense of character.
