In the early 1970s, design demands for rationalizing living spaces led to a flourishing production of modular elements that, when coordinated, could create infinite spatial and functional combinations. This pair of elements belongs to this large family. Unlike most other solutions, the frame is made of square-section chromed metal tubing. To further enhance the possibilities for variation, the elements are coordinated with both plain and mirrored smoked glass. The dimensions are generous but not bulky, the result light yet roomy. The two elements can be used in pairs, stacked, side by side, or separated: in any case, a striking and highly functional result can be achieved. The vintage finish is very good. Some slight signs of wear, but the glass is original and intact.
