This is a classic piece of Scandinavian mid-century design. A 1960s Amiral Coffee Table in Slate and Oak designed by Eric Merthen and produced by Ire Möbler in Sweden. It features solid oak frame with tapered, conical legs and a textured, riven slate top that provides both durability and a unique tactile quality. The original label is no longer present, we can however confirm their authenticity. The attribution is supported by archival documentation, period catalog references, and multiple documented examples of the same model offered by reputable dealers and auction houses.
