This is an antique Chinese bamboo low table dating to the late 19th - early 20th century. Traditional Ming Style pieces feature stained bamboo frames with intricate geometric fretwork aprons and an elm top, which in this case has been painted black. Perfect for layering and displaying objets or serving tea as originally intended. The colors on this have beautiful contrast with great patina. There is a split the length of the top that does not affect the structure or function.
