Antique "Return of Egypt" coffee table in mahogany featherbed with gilded bronze inserts, dating back to the second half of the 19th century. The Siena yellow marble top rests on a band under the top highlighted by expertly chiseled gilded bronze elements with a plant motif. The four square-section legs are topped with Egyptian-style caryatid busts, an iconic element of Napoleon III style. The legs end with lion's paw feet and are connected by a mixtilinear base with a bronze fitting in the center. General Condition: Restored by our master craftsmen using the traditional shellac and alcohol hand-applied method. Origin: France, second half of the 19th century. Measurements: Diameter 65cm.
