Unusual small game table from around 1900, with a swiveling tabletop in a cloverleaf shape and four shelves that only become visible when the tabletop is slightly lifted and rotated. It then locks into place between the four shelves. The table base is in the Art Deco style, though it also recalls a Shaker style. All in solid oak with beautiful radial oak veneer on the tabletop. Inside the table frame is a drawer, either for games or for sewing supplies. It seems as though the lady of the house at that time, in addition to her sewing, also had time for a game of bridge or other games for four. Of course, the table also makes a lovely little coffee or tea table. Condition: The table has only minimal, normal wear and tear, but is generally still in almost very good condition.
