A superb coffee table designed by Roger Capron, emblematic of the Vallauris ceramic revival of the 1950s and 60s. This “Shuttle” model is distinguished by its top composed of glazed ceramic tiles, forming a rhythmic graphic pattern of tapered lines in shades of orange, red, black, and white, evoking a visual language that is both modernist and kinetic. The glaze displays subtle variations and natural crackling (typical of Capron's work), adding depth and vibrancy to the surface. Each tile contributes to a perfectly balanced composition, playing on repetition and contrast. The structure rests on a simple base of dark lacquered metal, highlighting the richness of the tabletop while maintaining an elegant and timeless design. The “R. Capron” signature is visible on a corner tile.
