A mid-century chinoiserie, black lacquer and partly exposed ebonized wood coffee table with inlaid mother of pearl, minerals and stones. Depicted on the top of the table is a Chinese landscape in silver with six geishas near a pagoda. The painted decorations are in gold and silver. Not only the top of the table displays these beautiful inlaid figurines, but they also adorn the sides. The black lacquer legs have partly exposed, not lacquered, bare wood which is quite unusual and adds a dramatic effect.
