This coffee table originally served as a large storage basket and was produced in Belgium in the 1930s for the internal transport of wool in a cotton factory. It consists of lichen and the upper edge is reinforced with an iron ring. The numbers on the side refer to the weight of the transported wool. Cleaned and in good vintage state with signs of wear due to age.
