Coffee designed in the 1960's by Bernhard Rohne, is produced by W. Redecker  in the late 1960s. This table features an incredibly intricate surface made with innovative etching and patination techniques on a copper plate with Redecker's signature incorporated. The table is edged with an oak border and stands on an oak square base. What makes this piece so amazing is the copper top becomes a work of art on a functional piece of furniture, created by hand-drawn patterns in acid to etch the surface into a relief, then heat treated to create all possible colours you can imagine by patination on copper and afterwards and sealed with a coating. This makes each table he creates with this method unique. Rohne studied at Hanover art school, where he developed the acid painted surfaces exidently. He moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in 1967. W. Redecker who purchased Rohe's business when they left Germany for Canada produced a large group of case pieces in the image of Bernhard Rohne featuring applied brass plaques and panels, acid-etched with forms and patterns that are marked by the influence of Abstract Expressionism and Geometric Abstraction.  This piece has an attribution mark, I am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
