The heart pine wood that was sourced for this top, was salvaged from a WWII era army barracks building in Dayton, TN. It was used as a residence hall for researchers from the University Tennessee Knoxville during the 1960s-1970s. We paired it with a custom made, George Nakashima style base that was crafted by one our employees a few years ago. We've been waiting for the perfect top to come along and complete the marriage.
