Most of us perceive symmetry as being beautiful.‎ The real challenge, however, is to create something beautiful that does not follow the principle of symmetry.‎ We've done everything possible to achieve this.‎ The result of these efforts is DUA; our answer to clumsy couch tables that merely are in existence to have "something in front of the couch to put the remote control on".‎ The design of the striking coffee table looks different from different viewing angles.‎ The contemporary Berlin design enchants with the sparing use of material to create an impression of weightlessness.‎This is made possible by welding thin but highly robust square steel tubes (1.‎5 cm x 1.‎5 cm).‎ The steel used is German quality steel, is untreated and develops a unique patina over time, depending on the surrounding climate.‎ This creates an exciting contrast between industrial-minimalist character and filigree construction.‎ DUA is also available with white or black powdered steel which does not develop a patina.‎The metal frame is completely welded together and will be delivered in on piece.‎ DUA has a range of 20 mm thick high-quality Italian marble is available to choose from:- Nero Marquina (primarily black with fine white lines)- Verde Alpi (primarily grey with fine white lines)- Rosso Verona (primarily various shades of red)- Grand Antique (similar to Verde Alpi marble, but with more white inclusions)- Fior di Pesco (mixture of red, white and grey)- Arabescato (primarily white mixed with some light grey inclusions) - Grigio Billiemi (mixture of white and grey lines)- Pietra Grigia (primarily mouse grey with fine white lines)- Verde Guatemala (mixture of green and white inclusions, which effectively results in a turquoise tint of the marble)If you should wish your DUA to have different dimension or in case you're after a different marble, please do not hesitate to contact us.‎Important note: The untreated steel version is indeed untreated.‎ This means it will have scratches, signs of the welding (including "rainbow effect") will clearly be visible and the steel will develop a patina over time (i.‎e.‎ the steel will show signs of rust).‎ This is all intended and part of the design of the product.‎ If the aforementioned effects are not desirable, please choose the black or white powder coated versions of this product.‎ These are protected and do not develop a patina.‎
