Authentic cobbler's bench. – Rustic Folk Art – Lebanon Pa – Removable Tool Tray & Drawer. This bench is structurally sound with no major breaks or cracks. Shows patina and wear as a working bench. Top has wood dents which have been repaired from its life as a working bench. This bench was sourced from a family who's late father, E.P. Place, was a physician in WWII. After WWII he became a rural doctor in Lebanon County, PA. One of his clients gave the doctor this cobbler's bench because he could not pay his bill in cash. It's an awesome provenance! The bench is sturdy with no structural defects. It has a working drawer and a tool tray. The Physician's family filled the dents in the top with putty. Rather than remove and resurface, we have chosen to leave the top in the condition we found it.
