Dimensions: 21 ⅛” H x 24 ⅝” W x 24 ⅝” D A French Louis XVI style mahogany low table/gueridon in amber tone, dating to the mid-20th century, complemented with a white marble top surrounded by a pierced brass gallery. This timeless table design matches earlier bouillotte tables–made for playing cards–scaling the proportions down to coffee table size to fit a living room arrangement. There are two small drawers tucked in the apron, and two small leaves inset with olive-green textile that emerge to hold perhaps a drink or hand of playing cards. Note that one leaf has some loss to the textile liner, likely a burn, and the other is discolored. Fluted legs, a signature Louis XVI design, taper to the floor ending in brass sabot feet. Cleaned, tightened, and polished with a French paste wax, this vintage occasional table is ready for your interior. Please view the detailed images to see the current condition.
