Design:Lina Bo Bardi, Marcelo Ferraz, Marcelo SuzukiMaterial:TauariThis is a low table model of a table designed in 1986 for the Salvador "House of Benin" restaurant in Brazil. This is the first reissue in the world. Marcelo Ferraz and Marcelo Suzuki Lina Bo Bardi worked on a series of projects in Salvador, including the Casa do Benin restaurant and the Teatro Gregório de Mattos Theatro Gregório de Mattos, and a series of other projects in Salvador. They created original furniture for their projects in the newly opened furniture factory Baraúna. Their first attempt was inspired by Alvar Aalto and the furniture of the Sanatório de Paimio, a sanatorium built in the 1930s in Finland. Lina, who had a deep appreciation for plants and wood, used solid Brazilian wood instead of plywood. The first piece in the series, named Girafa for its giraffe-like form, was a chair, which was followed by a high chair stool and an embroiderer's chair.
