Idda, is what the people of Catania call Mount Etna and it is also the name of this coffee table, which takes the outline of the volcano – with winding lava flows wrapped around it – and turns it upside down.‎Strips of sheet steel of various sizes are bent by hand and placed on top of each other to form three or five overlapping layers in a sculpturesque creation with full, natural shapes.‎ The soft lines are enhanced by smooth welding, which reveals the outstanding technical skills of the manufacturers and adds a delightfully delicate touch to the raw materials.‎
