We have transformed this very large antique doughset, carved from a single piece of birch, into a coffee table by making a stand from antique pine elements. The doughset was originally used for making rye bread, for kneading and setting the dough to rise. The base is 49" long, 25" wide and 21.5" high and can take a glass top of various sizes (shown here with 75x28 glass top). Without glass it can be used to display anything from magazines to fruit or plants. We also offer this same design as a console table. Other sizes also available.
