Mid century coffee table by French Maison Jansen, created with solid bronze. The tops is finished with mirrored églomisé glass set inside the bronze frame. Circa 1950-60. The technique of making the églomisé mirrors that adorn the Jansen table dates back to antiquity. Gold and silver leaf is applied to glass plate and worked with special tools and acids to give a beautiful, marbled appearance. This piece is not signed. It has been attributed based on archival documentation, such as vintage catalogs, designer records, or other literature sources.
