This is a beautiful large coffee table with a heavy glass top which is a half an inch thick. The top can be lifted right off the base but it is heavy enough to stay in place. There's a small chip in the glass on one edge which is pictured. The carved wood base is a lovely design with scrolls and an acanthus leaf style design. The base has been painted and could be repainted to any color of your choice. This was in my grandmother's house in the 1960's, and has been kept in the family since then as it is such a lovely vintage piece. This would require either white glove delivery or two strong people to lift the glass safely.
