The structure is built in solid dark walnut, with four squared legs connected by two perpendicular cross-beams whose ends project beyond the frame — a detail characteristic of tectonic approach, where joints are made explicit rather than concealed. The round glass top, approximately 10 mm thick with a polished edge showing the typical slight green tint of period glass, rests on the upper beams without hardware. The wood retains its original finish with a warm, aged patina; minor surface marks consistent with use are visible on the beams, as expected in an unrestored piece of this period.
