Milo Baughman Style Industrial Modern Walnut End Grain Mosaic Chrome X Frame Coffee Table

Chairish

$768

A custom artisan crafted, celebrity owned, Post-Modernist industrial square coffee table from the second half of the 20th century. Timeless Milo Baughman style, featuring a solid walnut inlaid end grain wood mosiac tabletop, rising over a chrome metal X frame base. The striking almost sculptural butcher block style center most likely made from either reclaimed wood from decaying bridges, old barns, demolished structures, or harvested from fallen, well preserved trees. The walnut border and contrasting chromed elements emphasize the unrivaled beauty and warmth of the natural wood grain and make this table refined but unpretentious, unique and unforgettable. Provenance / Acquisition: This table belonged to Rod McKuen (1933-2015) and came out of his Beverly Hills, California estate. Mr. McKuen was an acclaimed American poet, singer-songwriter and actor. He was one of the best selling poets in the United States during the 1960's. He's wrote over 1,500 songs, sold over 100 million recordings worldwide and 60 million books of his wonderful poetry. Acquired from the highly reputable auction house Heritage Auctions, Dallas Design District, Dallas, Texas. Dimensions:(approx) 16.5" High x 29.75" Wide x 29.75" Deep Good original vintage condition with nicely aged warm rustic patina. Typical wear consistent with age and indicative of use.
