Deboni, fontana arte: gio ponti, pietro chiesa, max ingrand, fig. 409, allemandi, 2012. a famous master of art glass, max ingrand grew up admiring the stained glass windows of chartres cathedral, his first true source of inspiration. Through continuous research on the technique of acid and sand engraving, he achieved a refinement of masterly craft. He became the artistic director of fontana arte in the mid-1950s, becoming the protagonist of the transition to industrial production and releasing some of the most original solutions ever created. fontana arte is an italian company founded in milan in 1932 by luigi fontana and giò ponti and specialized in glass processing and the production of furnishing accessories.
