Ovni Uovo Coffee Table

The Ovni Uovo Coffee Table presents a retro-futurist fantasy. Performing as a past vision of the future Ovni Uovo constructs over mysterious tales of speculative technologies and flying saucers; its sleek and elegant shapes melancholically remit to a lost yearning for new forms of life. The table is made up of 3 black polished stone spheres between which is held in place an oval glass. In an optical game, the stone tops seem to peek through the glass; as dark pebbles rise out of the water. Panorammma is a furniture design atelier based in Mexico City that seeks to redefine our relationship with functional objects through experimentation with materials and form.
