A pair of contemporary organic style custom made petrified wood top coffee tables. This pair of coffee tables each feature four rectangular-cut petrified wood pieces set into a frame, making an overall rectangular-shaped top. The petrified tops are primarily black in color with areas of warm taupe and bone veining. The tops are supported by a custom metal base, which is black in color, with four straight legs and braced with box stretchers at their feet. Petrified wood is a fossil. Over time, the petrified wood becomes so sturdy and dense that it is as heavy as marble. The tables are a wonderful marriage of ancient and new.
