The base is handcrafted from Pleto Biocomposite, a proprietary natural material whose irregular, stone-like structure emphasizes material density and tactile depth. A stainless steel chain wraps around the base, introducing a subtle gesture of tension and connection that symbolizes the force holding the mass in place.The tabletop combines a satin-finished stainless steel surface with a metalized Pleto Biocomposite structure beneath. This metalized layer is created using an author's flame-activated technique where heat reveals layered metallic tones, subtle color shifts, and pearlescent reflections.
